We checked into the hospital at 7:30 AM on 3 May 2000. Around 9:30 they began medication to induce labor. Due to a number of factors, at 5:45 PM the doctors decided to do a C-Section. Things went warp speed from there and Allie was born at 6:07 PM.

One of four doctors prepping Christie for Surgery. Christie did fantastic during the entire surgery, she was a real trooper. Steve stood at the head of the bed and watched the entire surgery. It was a rather surreal experience. He, more than anyone, was surprised at how it didn't seem to faze him at all.
Steve symbolically cutting the cord. Because of the C-Section, the doctors cut the cord and hand the baby off to another doctor right away, after which Steve "symbolically" cuts the cord.
