Today we spent the morning shopping in San Gimignano and then drove to Sienna and Rome.

Rise and shine! Time to get moving! (Allie decides that from this point on, no one will remove her diaper except her. Note: plan an extra 10 minutes to get ready in the morning.


Need to get the day started right. Breakfast on the veranda by the pool. Just a great day.


The grass area adjacent to the pool. We could have sat here for days relaxing. Steve & Christie may return and do just that one day. We were blessed with good hotels throughout our trip, but thiswas probably the best overall. (It was the one we didn't reserve in advance.) It was our lucky day.

We came down out of the tower and look who's got a guilty look on their face(s) from eating ice cream at 10:00 AM.

That was it for San Gimignano. A great little town and our favorite place on the trip. We hope to come back and spend more time here in the future. Now it's on to Sienna for lunch.

Now we leave Sienna and head to Rome. We stopped at the Parco de Mostri (Monster Park) a little ways outside of Rome.
