Day 7 Tuscany - Day 8 Rome - Day 9 Rome - Day 10 Rome » London - Day 11 London - Day 12 Home

We spent today walking miles around Florence, seeing various museums and other sights.

Allie was, at times, insistent that she be allowed to push her own stroller. You can just see her fingers coming over the top of the stroller.

Inside the old Baptistry adjacent to the Duomo. The babtistry dates back to the 4th century. It seems every ceiling in Italy has something painted on it. You are look at a depiction of the Last Judgement.

The brass doors on the babtistry are from the 15th century and are in a local museum. These are replicas of the originals.

Christie and her Mom. Thanks to Valerie for the wrap that allowed Christie to wear shorts and go inside the churches without changing.

The Duomo and one long (over an hour) line to climb hundreds of stairs.
We passed on this one. There were many more to come.

Back at the hotel, everyone relaxes by the pool. Thanks to Christie's friend Michael for suggesting this hotel. It was amazing even though we never did find the energy to use the exercise equipment of the sauna.

Allie and Grandma Cara.
